Adopt Diane a White Domestic Shorthair / Domestic Shorthair / Mixed cat in

Location:
Encinitas, CA
Description:

Diane: solid white, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 4/3/20, #15519 Frankie: brown tabby, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 8/19/20, #15930***Bonded Pair***Cats: like Dogs: probably notChildren: respectful tweens and teensDuring COVID, Diane and her siblings were rescued from a high-kill shelter in LA where they were scheduled for euthanasia due to overcrowding. Frankie found herself at the same facility, and staff labeled her as unadoptable because she seemed so fearful-really, she was just overwhelmed by all the noise and chaos in that environment. A Rescue House volunteer pulled Frankie as well as Diane's crew and brought everyone home with her. There, Diane and Frankie grew up together, and now, they are ready to write the next chapter of their story with their forever people! Frankie and Diane have formed a unique friendship over the past year and a half and are two peas in a pod. (At night, they can be found running laps around the house after one another and chirping up a storm-they have their own kitty language!) Diane and Frankie love one another so much, and Frankie has been a wonderful surrogate sister for Diane after the sudden passing of Diane's sister. Devastated by the death of her BF/sibling from acute liver failure, Diane recovered from the loss by relying on her feline friends for support. During that difficult time, she turned to Frankie in particular to fill the void. In turn, Diane is the sibling that Frankie never had, and they do everything together! Both ladies are timid in new circumstances, and each must be allowed to acclimate at her own pace to their new home. Both Diane and Frankie consider themselves foodies and are intent on making sure that your food is safe to eat-after all, they don't want something bad to happen to you! To redirect their attention, their fosters feed them dinner at the same time to keep them distracted. ---Diane has always been the faithful companion of all her littermates. With her adorable pink ears and super soft fur, Diane loves to snuggle behind your knees, between your legs, or next to your belly while you sleep. (Basically, she will tuck herself in anywhere to get warm!) An avid sunbather, she adores hanging on her perch and chirping at the birds and rabbits outside. Diane is an expert jumper when it's wand time and often will lay out her kitty pals-leaping higher and farther than anyone else can! She also enjoys playing with the laser pointer and sitting on her pink princess pillow. ---Frankie was a little spitfire when she first arrived in foster care. Not realizing her fosters would view a hissy one-pound kitten as comical, she soon found herself being cuddled, kissed, and loved on nonstop until she finally realized humans are pretty cool! Now, Frankie (A.K.A. Frank/A.K.A. Frank & Beans) is just a little ray of sunshine! Frank has two favorite toys: her pink rat and her red stuffed square. She will chirp and sing along while she throws them in the air, tossing them time and time again as she plays fetch by herself. Since Frankie has no teeth (they were removed when she was younger as a treatment for inflammation in her mouth), she will gum her toys and then try to wrestle them out of her mouth for hours on end! Frankie is a total character and loves all of her cat buddies. ---Diane and Frankie MUST be adopted together. Diane and Frankie live with several feline friends, and following proper introductions, they should be able to cohabitate with other welcoming kitties. They are likely to find dogs intimidating, so canines are not recommended for this duo. Respectful tweens and teens should be fine for these two ladies. A busy home with smaller little ones would be too overwhelming. These cuties are so entertaining you can literally watch them chase one another and play fetch for hours! They deserve a super loving home where their funny quirks will be appreciated. Do you have room in your heart for this lovely pair?
